Could Laser Therapy Be the Breakthrough for Your Arthritis Pain?

We’re proud to be one of the only clinics in Lancashire to offer laser therapy for arthritis. While a 100% cure isn’t always possible, meaningful improvement absolutely is. Cartilage can repair. Stiff joints can be loosened. Tight, protective muscles can be released. Inflammation from flare-ups can be reduced. Weakness can be strengthened. Movement can improve. Comfort and life activities can return.

The idea that there’s “nothing you can do” simply isn’t true.

That belief is exactly why we’ve invested in one of the most advanced technologies available for arthritis and joint pain today.

Why “Just Managing” Arthritis Isn’t Enough

Many people are told to wait, cope, or manage their arthritis indefinitely. But waiting often means:

More stiffness

Reduced mobility

Increased flare-ups

Greater reliance on pain medication

Gradual decline in activities you could perform

Gradual loss of independence or quality of life

At Physiofusion, we believe you deserve better than simply managing. You deserve proactive care that helps you feel less pain, move better, feel stronger, and regain confidence in your body. Laser therapy allows us to do exactly that.

What Is Laser Therapy?

Laser therapy uses focused laser light energy to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. Unlike heat-based treatments, laser therapy works at a cellular level, encouraging repair and reducing inflammation without pain, injections, medication or surgery.

Think of it as switching your body’s healing systems back on or up, precisely where arthritis has slowed them down.

The Benefits of Laser Therapy for Arthritis

Patients with arthritis often experience:

✅ Reduced pain and stiffness
✅ Improved mobility and joint function
✅ Faster tissue repair
✅ Reduced inflammation during flare-ups
✅ A completely drug-free, non-invasive treatment
✅ Suitability for most joints, including knees, hips, shoulders, hands, and feet

Many patients tell us they notice improvements surprisingly quickly, particularly in movement, swelling, and overall comfort.

Why Laser Therapy Works: The Science Explained Simply

Laser therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, is supported by extensive research, including evidence shared by trusted professional bodies such as Electrotherapy.org

What Does “Laser” Actually Mean?

LASER stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. In therapy, this light is delivered in very controlled, precise doses that do not heat the tissue.

You may also hear laser therapy referred to as:

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)

Low-Intensity Laser Therapy (LILT)

Photobiomodulation

These are all terms describing the same principle: using light energy to stimulate healing rather than mask symptoms.

How Laser Light Interacts with the Body

Therapeutic lasers use wavelengths in the red and near-infrared range (roughly 600–1,000 nm). These wavelengths penetrate deeper into the body than visible light.

Once absorbed, the light energy:

Triggers biochemical reactions within cells

Improves cellular energy production

Encourages repair rather than inflammation

Importantly, this is non-thermal. The tissue isn’t being warmed or damaged.

What Happens at a Cellular Level?

The laser energy is absorbed by the cell membrane, triggering internal changes that support healing, including:

Increased cell growth and movement

Activation of immune cells that support repair

Improved production of growth factors

Enhanced blood vessel formation (angiogenesis)

For arthritic joints, this means better tissue health, reduced inflammation, and improved joint environment.

Dosage Matters – And Expertise Matters Even More

Laser therapy isn’t a “one-size-fits-all” treatment.

The dose, measured in Joules per square centimetre (J/cm²), must be precisely matched to the condition being treated, e.g. an arthritic flare-up requires a different approach compared to a cartilage tear.

Our advanced laser systems at Physiofusion allow for fully adjustable dosing, and our specialist physiotherapists understand how to apply it safely and effectively.

What Conditions Can Laser Therapy Help?

Laser therapy is commonly used for:

Arthritis and inflammatory joint conditions

Cartilage injuries or wear

Chronic joint pain

Soft tissue injuries (muscles, tendons, ligaments)

Pain relief through nerve modulation

Wound healing and tissue repair

For arthritis sufferers in particular, it can be an excellent way to reduce flare-ups and improve movement when combined with the right rehab plan.

Laser Therapy at Physiofusion: More Than Just Technology

We’re not about “fancy equipment” alone.

At Physiofusion, laser therapy is always combined with:

Expert hands-on physiotherapy

Personalised rehabilitation programmes

Strength, mobility, and movement retraining

Clear guidance on what to do next

A stronger, more flexible, better-aligned joint is less likely to flare up and less likely to deteriorate at the same rate.

You’ll never be left guessing. We guide you through every step, with the goal of getting you as close to 100% as possible.

Could Laser Therapy For Arthritis Help You?

If arthritis is holding you back from:

Walking the dog

Playing with the grandkids

Staying active and independent

Getting through the day without constant discomfort

Laser therapy could be a game-changer.

Final Thought

Laser therapy is practiced by our skilled clinicians, as part of a complete rehab plan, it can be one of the most effective tools available for managing arthritis pain, improving movement, and restoring confidence in your body. If you have any questions about this service and would like to speak to one of our physiotherapists, you can ask us a question for free, here.

Why Choose Physiofusion for Your MRI Scan in Lancashire?

At Physiofusion, we understand how frustrating long waiting lists can be when you’re in pain. Suffering from injuries to issues such as, joints, spine discs, nerve symptoms, ligaments, muscles ands tendons. That’s why we’ve created a service that is:

No hidden consultant fees – Our Specialist Physiotherapists provide a face to face consultation to discuss your issue and MRI scan requirements. Following this appointment we write a referral report to facilitate your MRI scan (a legal requirement as members of the public cannot self-refer for an MRI scan). We then arrange for our MRI scan service partner to contact you to arrange the agreed MRI scan area(s) in the fastest possible time. This consultation is just £69 per appointment for your consultation, referral report and MRI scan service process.

Your follow up consultation after your MRI scan is also only £69 and provides the MRI scan information (explained plainly but in detail) plus recommendations of optimal treatment or action required based on the scan results. (instead of the usual £210–£300 per consultant visit pre- and post- MRI scan).

Affordable – MRI scans from £339 for one area or £549 for two areas (with further discounts available for more than 2 areas).

Fast access – Most patients will be able to attend their MRI scan appointment within 3 days of referral.

Quick results – Reports are usually back and discussed with you in less than a week.

Comfortable & accessible – Wide bore MRI scanners for reduced claustrophobia, easy parking, and full lift access at all sites.

Comprehensive screening – During your scan the radiographer will look to diagnose your injury or issue. They will also review the area and surrounding tissue to check for any other issues, giving you peace of mind that every aspect has been thoroughly checked.

What is Reiki?

Both “Rei” and “Ki” translate literally as “spirit” and the joint characters “Reiki” are often interpreted as universal life force energy or more simply, spiritual healing.

The system of Reiki most practised in the west now was established in Japan in the 1800s although the concept itself has been around for centuries. The aim of Reiki is to balance and harmonise the energy centres within the body, known as chakras promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

How does Reiki work?

During a session, you remain fully clothed while I place my hands lightly on or just above your body in a series of positions, facilitating the flow of energy. It can be carried out in a seated or prone position and either “hands on” or “hands off”. Many people experience warmth, tingling, or a deep sense of peace and wellbeing. The Reiki energy will go to wherever it is needed most as directed by the body.

If you’re curious about Reiki and how it could support your wellbeing, we’d love to guide you through the experience. Helen has been practising Reiki since her first attunement in 2019 and is am a member of the UK Reiki Federation. This means that her training has met a specific standard and must prove my attunement lineage back to Mikao Usui, the Father of Reiki.

If you have any questions regarding Reiki that you feel we haven’t answered, please get it touch and ask our experts themselves, here.

What do I get for my money?

The £275 fee includes the nail surgery itself, PLUS 2 x follow up appointments for dressings, changes and checks.

Who can benefit from Nail Surgery?

Nail surgery is predominately used for patients with ingrowing toenails due to the extremely high success rate of this procedure.

What is an ingrowing toenail?

An ingrowing toenail is where a piece of nail pierces the flesh of the toe. It can feel as if you have a splinter, and be extremely painful and inflamed or infected. In more severe cases, it can cause pus and bleeding. Ingrowing toenails most commonly affect the big toenail, but can affect the other toes too. A nail that is curling (involuted or convoluted) into the flesh, but isn’t actually piercing the skin, isn’t an ingrowing toenail but can feel very painful and can also appear red and inflamed.

What causes it?

There are many genetic factors that can make you prone to ingrowing toenails, including your posture (the way you stand), your gait (the way you walk) and any foot deformity such as a bunion, hammer toes or excessive pronation of the feet (when your foot rolls inward excessively). Your nails may also have a natural tendency to splay or curl out instead of growing straight, encouraging your nail to grow outwards or inwards into the flesh.

One of the most common causes is not cutting your toenails properly, such as cutting nails too low in order to relieve the pressure and discomfort of an involuted nail.

Tight footwear, hosiery and socks can also push your toe flesh onto the nail so that it pierces the skin. If you sweat excessively or don’t rotate your footwear, the skin becomes moist and weak and is easily penetrated by the nail. If you have brittle nails with sharp edges or are in the habit of breaking off bits of nail that are sticking out, you are also more likely to get an ingrowing toenail.

Less common is a fungal infection or in some cases particular types of medication, for example isotretinoin.

How do I know I have it?

The most common symptom is pain followed by inflammation in the surrounding nail area.

However, not everyone identifies an ingrowing toenail correctly. Sometimes, they have a curly nail which has a lot of debris (dirt or fluff) underneath it or a corn or callus down the side of the nail, which can be just as painful. However, if it’s a corn, you tend to experience a throbbing pain as opposed to the sharp pain you get with an ingrowing toenail. If this is the case, your podiatrist will remove the debris, and, if necessary, thin the nail.

How does Nail Surgery work?

Before you are seen by a Podiatrist, you can relieve the discomfort by bathing your foot in a salty footbath which helps to prevent infection and reduces inflammation. Then apply a clean sterile dressing, especially if you have a discharge, and rest your foot as much as possible.

How a Podiatrist will treat you will depend largely on the severity of your condition:

For the most basic painful and irritable ingrowing toenail, the offending spike of nail will be removed and the toe covered with an antiseptic dressing

For toes too painful to touch, a local anaesthetic will be injected before removing the offending portion of nail

For involuted nails, part of the nail that is curling into the flesh is removed and then the edges of the nail are filed to a smooth surface

For any bleeding or discharge from an infection, or even excessive healing flesh (hypergranulation tissue) around the nail, antibiotics will be prescribed to manage the infection as well as having the offending spike removed

For those particularly prone to ingrowing toenails from underlying problems such as poor gait, a partial nail avulsion (PNA) may be recommended along with finding a more permanent solution to the underlying condition. This procedure is done under a local anaesthetic where part of the nail is removed (including the root), leaving a permanently narrower nail. In some cases a total nail avulsion (TNA) may be performed, where the entire nail plate and root are removed. In either case, the chemical phenol is used to cauterise the nail and prevent it re-growing. This is over 95% successful. You will, however, have to go back to your podiatrist for a number of re-dressings

How do we prevent needing Nail Surgery?

Firstly, learn to cut your nails properly. Nail cutters aren’t a good idea because the curved cutting edge can cut the flesh, and nail scissors can slip. It’s best to use nail nippers (available from chemists) because they have a smaller cutting blade but a longer handle. Cut your nails straight across and don’t cut too low at the edge or down the side. The corner of the nail should be visible above the skin. Also, cut them after a bath or shower when the nail is much softer.

Good hygiene can go a long way to preventing ingrowing toenails. Avoid moist, soggy feet by rotating your footwear so each pair has a chance to dry out thoroughly. Avoid man-made materials (synthetics) and choose socks and shoes of natural fibre which fit properly. Keep your feet clean and dry and in the summer wear open-toed sandals to let air get to your toes as much as possible.

If you have diabetes, are taking steroids or are on anti-coagulants, don’t attempt to cut your nails or remove an ingrowing spike of nail yourself.

If you have any questions regarding Nail Surgery that you feel we haven’t answered, please get it touch and ask our experts themselves, here.

Our Physios use a variety of Physiotherapy treatment types, including muscle & joint release, manipulation, anti-inflammatory treatments, acupuncture, strapping, stretching and strengthening.

Generally, the earlier Physiotherapy is started, the faster the return to health, work or sport. Long-standing problems also respond well to an accurate diagnosis, a comprehensive treatment plan and advice on preventing reoccurrence.

We liaise with your entire healthcare team (GPs, consultants and similar) so that all of your information gets to those that need it.

At Physiofusion we only use Chartered Physiotherapists who are registered with the Health Care Professions Council, and who have an average of 13 years experience – which means that you know that you are in safe hands.

Your First Physiotherapy Appointment

Physiotherapy Initial assessment appointments at our Burnley & Padiham clinics can take up to 60 minutes – depending on how complex your injury and medical history is. You may need to undress to allow the Physio to see the affected body part – you may want to bring a pair of shorts along to change into if you have a lower back or leg problem.

In the first session, your Physio will take a detailed medical history from you, as well as looking at the affected area and associated structures around it, in order to give you a diagnosis.

Once they have established the diagnosis, they will then discuss the different options with you to come up with a treatment plan that you are both happy with. If you need further tests (scans, x-rays or a consultant opinion, for example) then they will also recommend and discuss these with you.

If it is appropriate, you will also receive Physiotherapy treatment in your first session, allowing you to start your recovery immediately.

If you would like to pay using health insurance, or you are coming to us via a medico-legal intermediary or solicitor, the prices will vary.

Acupuncture at Physiofusion

A Safe, Evidence-Supported Treatment for Pain (acute and chronic), Injury & Arthritis

Used for thousands of years, acupuncture is recognised by healthcare professionals for its effects on:

Reducing pain e.g, nerve pain, joint pain, acute and chronic pain, and muscle pain and many other anatomical issues

Positive effects on arthritic conditions where cartilage degeneration occurs

Alleviating flares in injuries or conditions eg Fibromyalgia, many forms of arthritis, muscular overuse

Positive effects on inflammation

Known as a positive treatment for migraine

What Is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a therapeutic treatment that involves inserting very fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body. These points are selected based on your symptoms, clinical assessment and treatment requirements. Modern practice often combines traditional principles with medical understanding of the musculoskeletal, nervous and immune systems — sometimes referred to as Western medical acupuncture.

Unlike ancient explanations about energy flow (Qi), in physiotherapy settings, acupuncture is used with a biological and clinical rationale.

How Does Acupuncture Work?

Scientific evidence points to several ways acupuncture is effective:

Pain Modulation

Acupuncture stimulates sensory nerves under the skin and muscles, triggering the nervous system to release endorphins and other neurotransmitters that can reduce pain and promote a sense of wellbeing as a secondary effect of the chemicals produced via the stimulation.

Anti-Inflammatory Effects

Research shows acupuncture modulates immune-system signalling pathways and reduces pro-inflammatory chemicals, which can help with chronic inflammation and related pain.

Neurological Regulation

Needling specific points appears to influence nervous system circuits responsible for pain processing, motor activity and inflammation regulation.

These effects are thought to help explain why patients often report pain relief, reduced stiffness and improved function after treatment.

Conditions Acupuncture Can Help With?

Outcomes can vary, and no treatment works for everyone, however, abundant clinical research supports acupuncture for a range of conditions, especially when combined with other physiotherapeutic care:

Musculoskeletal Pain

• Back and neck pain
• Shoulder and joint discomfort
• Soft-tissue injuries
• Osteoarthritis symptoms
• Chronic tension and muscle tightness

Headaches & Migraines

Acupuncture is often used to help reduce the frequency and severity of tension-type headaches and migraines.

Reduction of Stress, improved Sleep and Wellbeing

Some evidence suggests acupuncture may support relaxation, reduce stress and assist with sleep quality through the release of endorphins and serotonin.

What to Expect in a Session?

An acupuncture session at Physiofusion is designed to be comfortable, safe and personalised:

Your physiotherapist will assess your symptoms and medical history via talking through your condition and doing specific tests to gather further information / evidence.

We’ll discuss what you hope to achieve from treatment.

A small number of fine needles (typically between 5–12) are inserted into carefully chosen points.

You’ll rest comfortably for between 10 & 30 minutes (dependent on various factors), often feeling relaxed or calm.

Some patients notice relief after a single session, while others benefit from a series of treatments alongside exercises / rehab and manual therapy to support longer-term improvement) e.g, muscle release techniques and joint mobilisation).

Safety and Qualifications

All of our physios who practice acupuncture have attended post-graduate training at university degree level to provide safe and highly experienced acupuncture treatment. We only use single-use, sterile needles. Minor side effects such as brief soreness, mild bruising or tingling are possible but usually transient.

At Physiofusion, our practitioners are qualified and experienced in integrating acupuncture with evidence-based physiotherapy, ensuring treatment is delivered safely and effectively.

How Acupuncture Fits With Your Physio Goals?

While acupuncture itself can help reduce pain and improve function, it is most effective when used alongside other aspects of your personalised treatment plan. That might include:

• Movement retraining
• Strength and conditioning exercises
• Manual therapy
• Postural and lifestyle advice

This combined approach supports better outcomes long term and helps reduce the risk of recurring symptoms.

What is the difference between a Podiatrist, a Chiropodist and a Foot Health Practitioner?

There is very little difference between a Podiatrist and a Chiropodist. A Podiatrist is merely a more modern term for Chiropody.

A Foot Healthcare Practitioner generally works with those of us that need regular ‘foot maintenance’. They focus mainly on skin and callus removal, as well as nail cutting. They work closely with and report to our team of Podiatrists when more specialist and expert procedures are required.

Our Podiatrists are trained to a degree level. Each one specialises in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of all problems relating to the foot and lower limbs. They are all Health and Care Professions Council registered and members of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

What happens in a biomechanical assessment?

Our biomechanical foot (and indeed the whole lower body!) assessments are carried out by our specialist Podiatrist. A Biomechanical Assessment is not focused exclusively on your feet – we also assess your ankles, legs, knees, hips, pelvis and even your back and neck.

We assess the structures, how you are aligned, and any strengths and weaknesses that you have.

Our specialist will analyse your foot type and shape, the way you stand and walk, and the way your body is aligned, then we can make any necessary adjustments, often suggesting orthotics and insoles, if they are required. We can also advise you on stretching and strengthening exercises and even things such as taping techniques to help you get the best result.

Once you have been assessed, we will offer you the necessary advice on the best course of treatment for your own particular issues, making sure you are aware of the next steps in getting you back to feeling your best.

Our orthotics are not ‘over the counter’. They are bought specifically for your condition (average price £75). We can even supply ‘bespoke orthotics’. These are manufactured using an exact copy of the sole of your foot/feet to create something that is tailor made only for you (cost varies, but most are around £300). The vast majority of our patients do not require the bespoke option, but we offer it for those who need it.

Our experts are also skilled in general Podiatry, addressing conditions such as:

corns, callus and hard skin

verrucae (plantar warts)

skin disorders / infections

in-growing toenails

nail cutting and nail surgery

diabetic foot care

these conditions often occur or worsen because of faulty mechanics that create weight bearing and strain through parts of the foot creating overload, friction and irritation.

Your appointment for Biomechanical Assessment last between 30 and 60 minutes dependent upon the complexity of your problem. Your therapist will then spend as much time as needed to ‘prescribe’, and source any orthotics, or other treatments required for your very individual mechanical issue.

You will be asked to return if needed for any orthotic fitting, exercise review, taping or even things like laser therapy to help any painfully loaded issues to heal and get you back to doing all of the activities you are missing out on.

Our Mental Health Services

Counselling & Psychotherapy

Our mental health sessions aim to help you find solutions to those emotional issues that are stopping you getting on with your life.

We fully appreciate that making the decision to seek professional help can be quite daunting and possibly one of the hardest decisions to make. Building a trustworthy relationship between a therapist and a client is one of the most important processes, therefore, sensitivity and empathetic understanding from all of our counsellors ensures comfort and trust. Our therapeutic relationship encourages you to explore issues, emotions and situations in your own time and at your own pace.

Whether you are able to identify the reason for challenges you are facing, it is important to understand that both cases are completely normal and both have as equally positive results through therapy.

We understand that taking the first steps towards a more positive future can, at times, seem difficult and daunting. To ensure your therapy sessions are sufficient and as relative as possible, we offer a variety of therapies that are structured around the sensitivity of each case.

Types of Mental Health Therapies

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on the whole person – body, mind, and soul – helping individuals understand themselves, reduce suffering, and reach their potential. It relies on the relationship between therapist and client, exploring unconscious thoughts and emotions to promote self-awareness and growth. Effective therapy depends on the therapist’s empathy, insight, and communication. Though the process may feel unfamiliar at first, it empowers people to understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, leading to greater self-control and emotional well-being. This leads to the ability to function more effectively and ‘less painfully’.

Why psychotherapy isn’t just counselling

In many places, especially the UK, the terms are often used interchangeably, and there is significant overlap in the skills and approaches used by both professionals. Psychotherapy training however is often longer and at a higher academic level and this is certainly the case for our Psychotherapy service at Physiofusion.

While Psychotherapy is a great counselling therapy for all types of mental health issues those with more complex and persistent mental health conditions tend to seek out Psychotherapy due to the enhanced training Psychotherapists require in their qualification.

Psychotherapists use Transactional Analysis (TA) as one of their ‘tools’. What is it?

TA is a theory about personality, communication, and personal growth. It helps us understand ourselves, our relationships, and the patterns we repeat. Developed by Eric Berne in the 1950s, TA combines insights from psychoanalysis with a focus on what happens in the present moment. It is used in therapy, education, coaching, and mental health organisations.

TA is based on three main ideas:

“I’m OK, You’re OK” – Every person has value, dignity, and the potential to grow. This means respecting ourselves and others, even when we face problems or disagreements.

Everyone can think – People are capable of reflection and decision-making. We may need help, but we play an active role in our own change.

People can change – No matter our past or struggles, change is always possible. With awareness, support, and new choices, we can improve our lives.

As therapists, we work openly and respectfully, using clear communication and collaboration. TA offers practical tools to understand human behaviour with compassion and clarity.

About our therapist, Rachel

“ Hi, I’m Rachel and I’m a UKCP member with advanced clinical training in the North West of England. I grew up in Burnley, but moved away for several years and relocated back to Burnley recently.

In my private practice I work with people suffering from all levels of anxiety; depression; intrusive thoughts; issues around self esteem, loss, change, and bereavement. My core practice combines integrative Psychotherapy with humanistic Transactional Analysis, using a wide range of techniques tailored to suit individual needs. I use creativity with a kind and gentle approach to help those who might struggle to communicate verbally, expressing difficult emotions and complex issues. I have a particular skill in helping people create a clear self-narrative, enabling the individual to explore and make sense of their experiences and discover opportunities to move away from repeating past patterns towards reflection, hope, and healing. I work with adults on a short-term session-limited basis, or through longer term, open-ended work.”

Person-Centred Therapy

Person Centred Therapy is effective for all forms of psychological distress, and its theory forms the basis of most therapeutic relationships.

Person-Centred therapy is a non-directive approach, ensuring you are aware that you have the potential and ability to make better choices for yourself and your future. We all live in a world where the external demands of parents, family, work, friends and society can often become overwhelming. Together, we are able to explore the challenges you are facing that cause your emotional distress, learning how to deal with them and most importantly, overcome them.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT is often used to treat many different mental health problems and is very effective at teaching people how to take control of their anxiety, depression and stress among many other problems.

CBT is a form of talking therapy, looking the ways in which our thoughts and beliefs about events, both past and present, affect our behaviour and our feelings. This is effective in learning how to eradicate those behaviours and unwanted thoughts.

ADHD Coaching

ADHD Coaching is forward-looking and outcome-orientated. The focus will be on how to change your ADHD behaviour to fit better with your personal values and goals. You will learn to develop tools and strategies to help you be on track, maintain focus and be on time.

Brain Spotting Therapy

Brain Spotting Therapy is extremely useful for PTSD – quite similar to EMDR Therapy – it is a somatic therapy that works with trauma trapped in the body, opposed to in the head. 80% of messages go from the body to the brain, only 20%go from brain to body, so it can be more effective in some instances to work with the body.

Solution-Focused Therapy

This versatile approach works very effectively for those who have a goal-orientated mind-set. It can be used to embrace changes to issues related to stress and anxiety, drug and alcohol abuse, behavioural problems, eating disorders and relationships.

This approach is based on solution building rather than problem-solving. It helps you to foster change by concentrating on your strengths and possibilities.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy allows us to go back and look at relational aspects throughout our life. This creates awareness of patterns of behaviour over time, and allows us to identify where they come from and look at the root cause of our issues. Here we tend to dive into our subconscious and look at what is driving our thoughts, feelings and behaviours so we can best adapt, avoid or change them.

Motivational Interviewing

MI is effective at increasing your awareness and positive thinking. We help you to envision a better future and increasingly motivated to achieve it.

MI is a collaborative therapy tool that is goal-oriented and client-centred. It is designed to strengthen personal and motivational commitment.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming

NLP is most effective for clients with Post Traumatic Stress disorder.

NLP is a method for communication and self-development. This works by influencing brain behaviour (neuro) through the use of language (linguistic) and other types of communication, enabling a person to “recode” the way the brain responds (programming).

Fees

Your first session with us will be an Initial assessment. This will last 60 minutes and cost £70.

Every session after your initial assessment will still be 60 minutes and cost £70.

If you have any questions or would like to speak with us, please feel free to contact us on 01282 453 110 or contact our therapists privately using our FREE Ask A Physio service.

As registered members of the BACP, we adhere to their code of ethics and have regular professional supervision with a Counselling Supervisor to support us in our work. This ensures that we keep up to date and provide you with the best service to suit your needs.
